DEAD OR ALIVE
Outnumbered, outgunned, but never out dead
I woke up to the sound of ragged breathing and the smell of sweat and dirt. My head was throbbing and my body ached, but I knew that I had to stay alert.
I slowly opened my eyes and looked around, trying to get my bearings. I was in a small, cramped room, surrounded by a group of rough-looking bandits.
“Well, well, well,” said the leader, a hulking brute with a scarred face and a wicked grin. “Looks like we’ve got ourselves a live one.”
I sat up, my heart racing with fear. “Who are you?” I demanded. “What do you want from me?”
The leader chuckled, his beady eyes glinting with malice. “We’re the ones in charge here,” he said. “And you, my friend, are worth a pretty penny.”
I frowned, not understanding. “What are you talking about?”
The leader chuckled again. “The Zoraxians have put a bounty on your head,” he said. “Dead or alive. And we’re going to collect it.”
I gasped, my heart sinking. The Zoraxians were our sworn enemies, and I knew that they would stop at nothing to see us defeated.
But I wasn’t going to give up without a fight. I was a soldier, fighting for my country and my people. And I would do whatever it took to protect them.
I stood up, my fists clenched at my sides. “I won’t go down without a fight,” I said, my voice fierce. “I won’t let you turn me over to the Zoraxians.”
I felt a cold chill run down my spine. The Zoraxians were our sworn enemies, and I knew that they would stop at nothing to see us defeated. But I wasn’t going to go down without a fight. I was a soldier, fighting for my country and my people. And I would do whatever it took to protect them.
I stood up, my fists clenched at my sides. “I won’t go down without a fight,” I said, my voice fierce. “I won’t let you turn me over to the Zoraxians.”
The leader sneered, his henchmen following suit. “You’re outnumbered and outgunned,” he said. “You don’t stand a chance.”
I narrowed my eyes, determination coursing through my veins. I may have been outnumbered and outgunned, but I had something that these bandits didn’t: a fierce will to survive.
I charged at the leader, my fists flying. He was caught off guard, and I managed to land a few good blows before his henchmen dragged me away.
But I didn’t give up. I fought and struggled, determined to escape. And as the bandits dragged me away, I knew that I would find a way to break free.
